When is this useful?
When you want to assign specific permissions like access to data to only certain locations or checklists or companies, etc

Removing basic permissions
Step 1: Log in to the admin portal: https://admin.goaudits.com/ on a Desktop. On the left, select 'Users'.
Step 2: For the user, you want to give permissions, click 'Edit User'. It will take you to the Edit User page.
Step 3: Under 'Manage Access Rights', uncheck the 3 boxes. This is needed in order to avoid overriding the custom permissions.
Step 1: Under 'Advanced', click 'Permissions'.
Then click 'Add' on the top-right. You will be taken to the 'Add Permissions' screen.
Step 2: Give the permission a name. Select the permission type from the dropdown. And then select the companies, locations, and checklists you want to give access to from the respective lists.
Then, click 'Save'.
Viewing the permissions
To view the permission you just created, go to the 'Permissions' section. Type the name of the permission on the top search box. Then click 'View' on the permission to see the details.
Assigning permissions to a role
You can assign these permissions to a new role or an existing role. You can even assign one or more permissions into a role.
Adding a new role
Step 1: Under 'Advanced', go to 'Roles & Hierarchy'. Click 'Add' on the top-right.
Step 2: You will land on the 'Add role' screen. Enter the role name. Select the role type. And then enter the description for the role.
Step 3: Click 'Add role permission'. From the 'Add permissions' dropdown, select the permissions and click 'Save'.
Step 4: So far, we gave access only to the data. Now, we also have to add where that access is going to come from — is it going to be the app, or analytics, or as an admin to the portal, or a combination of any of these.
Click 'Add role permissions' once again and select permissions. And click 'Save'.
Step 5: Click 'Save' in the 'Add Roles' screen.
Assigning permissions to a user
Step 1: Go to the admin portal: https://admin.goaudits.com/. On the left, select 'Users'.
Step 2: For the user, you want to assign permissions, click 'Edit User'. It will take you to the Edit User page.
Step 3: Under 'Manage Access Rights', click 'Advanced Settings'. Remember to uncheck the 3 boxes to avoid overriding the custom permissions.
Step 4: Click the 'Custom Role' dropdown and select the role you just assigned permissions to.
Step 5: Click Save. You have successfully assigned custom permissions to a user.
